The Pride of Headlands award sets a very high bar and we are looking for nominations from children who achieve amazing things. We are keen to hear again this year about children who demonstrate positive values which make them a role model. There are four identified categories under which the Pride of Headlands may be awarded. The categories are:

My Community: We are looking for nominations for a child who is doing something great for their local community. It could be supporting a neighbour or getting involved in a community project. We are looking for nominations which demonstrate how the child makes a difference within the community.

My World: We are looking for nominations from children who are doing something positive to improve the environment we all live in.

Bravery/Courage Award: We are looking for nominations from children who have faced challenging personal situations and demonstrated courage and bravery in how they have handled a challenging or difficult time.

Personal Achievement Award: We are looking for nominations for resilience and success in hobbies, sports and other achievements; perhaps you know a child who has excelled in the arts, dance, theatre, sports or a child making strides towards being a future Olympian?

Do you know a child who is The Pride of Headlands?
This award will be judged by Governors’ and will be awarded to outstanding pupils who have done great things under the above headings. All you need to do is complete a nomination form and tell us why you believe the child you are nominating deserves to be a winner. You may also wish to include some supporting evidence such as a photograph, certificate or short letter from a coach, mentor, neighbour or family member. Please be aware that we are unable to return supporting evidence including photographs, so you will need to provide copies rather than originals.

All nominations for the ‘Pride of Headlands’ award must be handed in to class teachers or the school office no later than Thursday 6 June 2019
