I am writing to inform you about the arrangements we have made for Parent Consultation Information Sessions due to be held this term. As you are aware, these normally take place in school but because of the COVID restrictions it is still not possible to have face to face meetings in school as we usually do. It has been decided therefore that teachers will contact parents by phone again in order to have a discussion about how their child is progressing with their learning and provide parents with an opportunity to ask any questions about their child’s learning.
Each parent will be allocated 10 minutes to speak to their child’s class teacher. In order to accommodate all of these telephone conversations, they will take place on either the 9th, 10th, 23rd or 24th February between 3:30-6:00pm as follows:
|9th and 10th February||23rd and 24th February|
|Acorns – Mrs Chappelhow (between 2:00-6:00pm)||Catkins – Miss Carter|
|1 Hawthorn – Miss Rimmer||1 Cherry – Miss Wilson|
|2 Laurel – Mrs Smith/Mrs Burns||2 Beech – Miss Davis|
|3 Pine – Miss Patel||3 Willow – Miss Cray|
|4 Ash – Miss Hull||4 Birch – Miss Dyson|
|5 Sycamore – Miss Manning||5 Maple – Mrs Lewis|
|6 Oak – Mrs Rihane||6 Cedar – Miss Anthony|
We will not be allocating specific appointment times for these phone calls to take place. In the majority of cases, the class teachers will phone the first contact listed on each child’s record. If they are unable to make contact, they will leave a message and try again at a different time.
Mrs Wilby will be responsible for contacting parents of all Nursery pupils. She will make her phone calls between 9:30am and 3:30pm on 9th and 10th February. Again, if Mrs Wilby is unable to make contact, she will leave a message and try again at a different time.
We ask that parents do not phone school on any of the days listed above during the after school parent consultation sessions because this might cause problems with our telephone system and prevent teachers from phoning parents.
We hope that in these difficult times you will understand that we are still not able to offer our normal face to face parental consultation sessions and hope you find the telephone conversations informative and helpful.
