We know that not having the familiar routine of coming to school each day has really unsettled many of the children at Headlands over the last few weeks. Many of them have also told us that they have really missed seeing their friends and teachers each day and can’t wait to come back to school. We are so incredibly proud of all of them and the resilience that so many of our pupils have demonstrated during this difficult time in all of our lives. We are certain that you must be enormously proud of them too! Each and every one of them is a ‘Lockdown Legend’ in our eyes!
We would love to see photographs of what your little ‘Lockdown Legends’ have achieved during the weeks that they have not been in school. Our aim is to upload photographs to our school website so that the children can see what their friends have been up to. We hope they will find some comfort in seeing the familiar faces of their classmates. We’d also like to use the photographs to create some ‘Lockdown Legends’ displays around school so that the children can admire them further upon their return to school in the Autumn Term.
Has your child…..mastered a new skill? Exercised daily? Created an amazing piece of artwork? Baked something delicious? Completed a home improvement task with you? Helped you with some gardening? Done something to improve the environment? Helped out a neighbour or an elderly relative? Whatever they’ve done, we want to see a picture of them doing it so that we can celebrate it! If you’d like your child’s photograph to be uploaded to our school website and displayed on a board in school, please send me a photograph to the following email address by Monday 6 July 2020;
I can’t wait to hear from you!
Stay safe and keep smiling!
